Peabody Trust

Whilst completing some commercial ad-hoc installation work Peabody advised that they had an emergency situation within a sheltered block in Alleyne House which they asked us to look at.

Alleyne House had a failed heating and hot water system which had ageing electrical boilers within the plant room which needed to be upgraded as well as the hot water calorifiers and associated equipment including a new business management system.

The project ad a programme of works projected for completion within eight weeks and works started in April 2018. The installation team decommissioned the existing electric boilers and associated materials and installed new ones during which time the sheltered scheme would have a loss of services for 2 days only which constituted the swap from old to new which was phased within the plant room which took some planning due to the nature of the heat source, the boiler being owned by the utility provider and the size of the plant room.

During the installation, the electrical team identified issues within the main incoming supply which added to the challenges already on site. The Project itself received a number of clients positive feedback and has since been featured as a walk around with their senior management team.

We are continuing to work with Peabody on the building management systems strategy as they have a mix of systems including Trend and EasyIo both of which are open protocol and can be linked through a dedicated head-end PC.

All works were delivered through the in-house resource.
